Villa Le Beau Site, Trets, near Aix en Provence Trets, a little town SE of Aix en Provence, embedded in hilly surroundings with vineyards covering the Trets valley floor, is where the villa "Le Beau Site" (The beautiful Site) can be found on the hilly site of town about 1,600ft (500mtrs) above the valley with an exquisite view at the Mont Sainte Victoire, and, a huge garden surrounding it. Aix en Provence, the old 15th century Kingdom under King Rene, with its beautiful majestic squares, avenues, fountains, its 17th and 18th century elegant mansions, influenced by Italian baroque, and, coloured in a typical Provencal yellow, is only 16 Km's (10miles) away from "Le Beau Site." A beautiful town with around 400 hundred restaurants, lots of quaint and beautiful shops varying from an English Bookstore to the most luxurious and up to date fashion stores, museums, opera and theatre. Settle down on one of the great terraces along the Cours Mirabeau and absorb all of Aix-es beauty while enjoying a nice meal with great glass of rose wine or something other than rose.
